Patreon<>Forum Linking Not Working

Hi!

Thanks for adding the forums Makham! What with the issues with discord, I appreciate it. And to be honest, I like forums more for software support unless it’s urgent, because it makes it searchable for other folks, and thus, more helpful for future humans. :slight_smile:

Anyway, on to the issue! I’m trying to link my Patreon account for the last few days since I made the forum account, but I keep getting this error after going through the the process:

I’m logged into both my forum account here, and patreon account. Let me know if there’s anything else I provide to help get it fixed. :slight_smile: Thanks again!

For some more context, I have tried again today, and in these browsers:
Firefox
Chrome
Vivaldi

And get the same error today in all of them.

It seems to be a known Patreon API problems:

Problem is, in the solution given in the link above I need to have OAuth2 plugin which only available for Business plan.

I don’t make enough from Pixel Composer to be paying $500/month especially just to fix 1 bug. It’s unfortunate and quite infuriating.

Now the solution post seems quite recent (Oct 2025) so something might change. Right now I’ll just wait and see.

Not to turn this into a chat, but, the main reason I was attempting to link the two, was for the Patreon content and supporter title here on the forum. I some some other folks on here with the supporter tag. What is the method for getting that on the forum?

I’m not sure actually. My guess is they use Patreon to create the account in the first place. You can DM me the email you use to pledge and I will manually add you to the supporter group.
