I’ve been thinking about the output for the stuff I’ve been creating on Pixel Composer. I’m planning to use it in Godot but I’m still pretty new to the engine, what have been the most efficient ways you have found to use your output? Is it as a gif, or individual images for each frame that’s placed together in your game engine? Or a movie file that’s played?
Hi Sam!
It sounds like you’re asking about animation exports, and for that spritesheets are what you’re looking for, they are the go-to for nearly all animation situations.
And depending on what you’re doing with it, the formats will vary, but I’d stick to PNG or TGA. There are a lot more options, depending on your goals. But I’ll leave that for another time. ![]()
Ah this is exactly the answer I was looking for! Thank you! I didn’t think having layers of images stacked or a video would be the best route. ![]()
